What is Gabapentin?
Gabapentin is a commonly used anti-epileptic drug. It is a white to off-white crystalline powder with stable chemical properties at room temperature and pressure. It is used as an additional treatment for epilepsy patients with localized seizures that cannot be satisfactorily controlled or tolerated by conventional antiepileptic drugs and for patients with localized seizures and then generalized epilepsy.

Adults and children 12 years of age and older-At first, 300 milligrams (mg) three times per day. Your doctor may adjust your dose as needed and tolerated. However, the dose is usually not more than 1800 mg per day (600 mg three times per day).
