Acetyl hexapeptide-8 competes with SNAP-25 for the site of the fusion vesicle complex, thereby affecting the formation of the complex. When the fusion vesicle complex is slightly unstable, the vesicles cannot effectively release neurotransmitters, thereby weakening muscle contraction and preventing the formation of wrinkles.
